Player Q & A

How do you motivate others?

I’m a true believer in "actions speak louder than words". You can say all the right things to motivate other players and teammates, but words expire if you don’t practice what you preach.

Who was your mentor?

My father has always been my biggest mentor. I like to think I got my work ethic and humility from him. He never played baseball, but he wrestled at Virginia Tech so he understood the commitment and dedication it takes to be a high level athlete.

What was your favorite youth sports moment?

My favorite moment was probably winning the middle school city championship in baseball.
